Founding Editor & Publisher
Adriena Dame is a military brat, writer, publications specialist,
and educator. She ghostwrites memoirs for The Family Seal, a life
writing company designed to help ordinary and extraordinary
people explore, preserve, and celebrate their lives and family
history. Additionally, she serves as the assistant managing editor of
The Louisville Review and Fleur-de-Lis Press and is a graduate of
Spalding University's brief-residency MFA in Writing Program.
She earned her BA in English, concentrating in technical and
professional communication, from East Carolina University. She
has published a variety of features in professional and academic
periodicals with her most recent work appearing in Tae Kwon Do
Times magazine and poetry forthcoming in Women. Period., an

Associate Editor
Kalandor Nixon is a Chicago-born and raised screenwriter, poet,
and video artist. He is also a freelance script analyst for
Hart-Lunsford Pictures and The Group Entertainment, and serves
as a student editor for the The Louisville Review. He has produced
a variety of commercials and short films and studies screenwriting
in Spalding University's brief-residency MFA in Writing Program.

Fiction Editor
Juyanne James is a writer, educator, and graduate of Spalding
University's brief-residency MFA in Writing Program, where she
also served as a student editor for The Louisville Review. Her
short fiction is forthcoming in The Southern Review and The
Louisville Review in 2008. She lives in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Poetry Editor
Jill Kelly Koren is a full-time mother, a full-time writer, and a
part-time rock star. She plays acoustic bass and sings in the folk-
rock group, The Chestnuts. Their new CD, Taking Root, features
several of her original songs. She is a Teach for America alum, has
taught every grade from Kindergarten through tenth, and frequently
visits classrooms to talk about poetry and writing. Jill is a graduate
of Spalding University’s brief-residency MFA in Writing Program
and was named a KIPP Writers House Fellow for 2008. Her
poetry has appeared in The Louisville Review and is forthcoming
in an anthology titled Women. Period.
Fiction & Creative Nonfiction Editor
Regine Kipperberg is a freelance editor, literary scholar, and
educator. She earned her MA in English at Johannes Gutenberg
University, Mainz, Germany with a Linguistic thesis focusing on
"English Relatives—Historical and Modern." She earned her BA
in Liberal Arts with majors in English, German, and History from
Frauenlo-bgymnasium Mainz, Germany. She currently resides in
Surrey, British Columbia, with her husband Bjørn, her dog Parker,
and Devon the cat.
Editorial Assistant
Tristan E. Dunlap is a Tae Kwon Do instructor and competitive
chess player. He writes personal essays and poetry, and lives in
Louisville, Kentucky with his family. His best friend is an elderly
dog named Expo (golden labrador, chow chow, blue heeler,
poodle mix).
Business Manager
Brenda Ellis is a painter, culinary artist, and 2nd Dan (Instructor)
Black Belt martial arts practitioner. She earned her MA in
Management from Webster University, her BA in Accounting from
Fort Valley University, and her Certified Public Management
Certificate from Indiana University Southeast. She currently
resides in Louisville, Kentucky where she works as a budget
analyst for the Corps of Engineers.
